Red Dragon rejoice after mauling England in Cardiff.
Wales head coach Rob Howley was delighted with his side’s display in their RBS Six Nations thrashing of England at the Millennium stadium on Saturday.
The home side overcame Stuart Lancaster’s men 30-3 to deny the visitors a potential Grand Slam and in the process the Red Dragon took the Six Nations championship on points difference for the second year running.
And, after the end of the thrilling contest, the interim Wales coach Howley said: “I am just really proud to be part of a side that has sort of gained momentum back in a championship is so difficult.
“Particularly how people sort of looked into that landscape of that 30 minutes in the Irish game. I thought there was enough shown in terms of our quality of the second half and as coaches and players we were very consistent with our messages… this team is not a bad team and I am delighted in terms of winning – but more so with the performance that we showed in the second half.”
