Shane Watson’s century was the first of the 2013 IPL but was not enough to secure victory.
Rajasthan Royals captain Rahul Dravid believes that Shane Watson’s century against Chennai Super Kings should have seen the Australian on the winning team.
As it was Chennai chased down Rajasthan’s imposing total of 185 but Dravid still believed his batsmen were exceptional – especially Watson who hit the first 100 of the tournament.
The former Indian skipper had less praise for his bowlers as they failed to consistently find their length, although Aussie seamer James Faulkner did take figures of 3-20 which Dravid labeled ‘superb.’
