The Galatasaray striker returns to face the Blues for the first time since that triumph.
Chelsea’s Champions League last-16 tie with Galatasaray will be particularly special for one player – Didier Drogba – as he returns to face them for the first time since 2012.
Drogba spent eight years with the Blues and won 12 major trophies, including clinching Champions League victory in 2012 with the striker’s last kick for the club.
After leveling the match with Bayern Munich late on to take it into extra-time and then penalties, the Ivory Coast international then scored the decisive spot-kick to bring European glory to Stamford Bridge for the first time.
