Garcia’s side alone at the top of Serie A with win at Samp.
Roma sealed a 2-0 win at Sampdoria on Wednesday night, as they broke away from their rivals to sit atop the Serie A table.
The Giallorossi maintained their 100 per cent start to the season with goals from Mehdi Benatia and Gervinho, with the former capping off a fantastic team move to get things up and running.
Roma’s night was partly soured as coach Rudi Garcia was sent to the stands, but the French tactician will have been delighted with his side’s performance as they continue their impressive start to the season.
With Napoli dropping points at home to Sassuolo, the capital club now sit alone at the top of the table, with early indications suggesting that they will be a danger to the Scudetto favourites this season.
However, Garcia has insisted that his side must keep their feet on the ground and continue to work hard and stay humble as they look to achieve something special after a disappointing few years.
