Watch Rory McIlroy give his Ryder Cup team-mate Graeme McDowell a fright in this brilliant champagne cork video.
Rory McIlroy was instrumental in Europe’s 2014 Ryder Cup win, and his 40 foot putt on the 17th hole on Day One was a standout moment for the tournament as a whole.
However, his celebrations did not go quite to plan.
The Northern Irishman had some champagne ready prior on the final hole, and was waiting for Zach Johnson to attempt a putt to halve the round for the USA.
However, McIlroy did not hold his hand over the cork, and it escaped with an almighty bang – leaving team-mate Graeme McDowell in hysterics.
McIlroy went over to Johnson afterwards and offered his apologies, but the video made for a priceless moment regardless.
