Oklahoma City Thunder edge out the Dallas Mavericks 107-101 on Sunday night.
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook put on a show for the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night, as they led the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 107-101 win.
Durant finished with 31 points, while point guard Westbrook topped his effort as he ended the game with 35 points of his own.
Despite dominating the offense for Scott Brooks’ team, it wasn’t just a two-man show as Serge Ibaka contributed a further 18 points to secure the win.
However, there is no denying that the pair are one of the most exciting duos in the league, as they consistently team up to lead the Thunder, posting up big numbers on a regular basis.
For the Mavericks, it was Dirk Nowitzki who had a team-high 23 points but it wasn’t enough as they fell short to their Western Conference rivals.
Along with the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City have now clinched their play-off spot and will now be focused on chasing down top spot in the West.
Dallas have a small albeit unlikely hope of reaching the post-season, as they sit in 11th position and five games adrift of eighth place.
