Australian fast-bowler looms as a key player ahead of upcoming Ashes series.
Aussie quick Ryan Harris says he would love to get his hands on the new ball for the home side as they prepare to play the old enemy at the Gabba from November 21.
The first ball of an Ashes series holds great mystique for quick men and Harris admitted he had been thinking about what kind of delivery he would look to bowl if he was thrown the new cherry.
Harris was a major weapon for skipper Michael Clarke during the series in England, but he has been forced to miss some game time recently, after being struck down by illness.
Australia will name its starting XI for the first game on Tuesday.
