The St. Louis Rams trail the Arizona Cardinals, 6-3, at halftime. Rams quarterback Shaun Hill had an overall solid first half, but he was involved in a controversial call by the officials.
On a third-and-12 play, the quarterback threw the ball away. However, he was extremely close to the ground as the Cardinals were close to sacking him.
His knee seemed to hit the ground before the ball was released, and the play was reviewed. To Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians’ chagrin, the play was confirmed by the officials.
Here is a video from Vine for viewers to decide whether the right call was made.
