Ref Cam made a second appearance in the Super 15.
Exciting new technology nicknamed ‘Ref Cam’ was debuted by New Zealand’s Chris Pollock during the Queensland Reds and New South Wales Super 15 match.
Making a second appearance in the Reds’ round four clash with the Melbourne Rebels the earpiece camera has so far been a great success.
The amazing close up shots that the Ref Cam captures have huge potential to bring fans closer to the game than ever. Sanzar referee boss remains Lyndon Bray is ‘cautiously optimistic’ of the Ref Cam’s application.
He believes the new concept could be great for entertainment as well as a coaching/educational tool for coaches, players and referees.
“I’m really cautiously optimistic that this could be a great tool,” said Bray.
