Saturday Night Live tore the New England Patriots a new one in their newest cold open sketch as they parodied the ball deflation controversy.

The New England Patriots have become the center of attention in the NFL world due to reaching the Super Bowl and being embroiled in a web of controversy due to being caught playing with deflated footballs in the AFC Championship.
“Deflate-Gate” has also caused the Patriots to become the butt of jokes across social media and most recently in Saturday Night Live.
The sketch comedy show that airs late at night has been around for 40 years, and it has achieved success due to impersonations and satire of current events.
They spoofed the Patriots in their latest episode as cast members Beck Bennett and Taran Killam respectively portrayed head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady. Kenan Thompson impersonated CBS sports broadcaster Greg Gumbel.
Brady and Belichick were humorously shown as unwilling to give straight answers to questions from reporters, and Belichick was made fun of for throwing Brady under the bus.
