Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson’s 2014 season ended in tragedy as he threw the game-ending interception in Super Bowl 49, which the Seahawks lost to the New England Patriots.

Now that the NFL season is over, Wilson is once again using his offseason to train with the Texas Rangers in spring training.
Wilson had been selected in the 2007 MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles, but he ultimately decided to attend college at North Carolina State.
Wilson was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2010 after playing for the N.C. State baseball team, but he decided to pursue an NFL career in 2012 and told the Rockies he would not report to spring training.
After a successful football season at Wisconsin that included a Rose Bowl trip, Wilson was selected by the Seahawks in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
He instantly became their starter and led them to a Super Bowl victory in his second season.
Wilson was traded to the Rangers in the 2013 Rule 5 draft, and he has since played as an infielder in the Rangers’ spring training.
