Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has become notorious for refusing to speak candidly with media reporters, and he has been fined for not showing up in some instances. He is also expected to be fined for wearing a forbidden hat.
The running back typically gives short answers and keeps it the same after every question. For instance, he will say things like “I’m thankful” or “I’m just here so I won’t get fined.”
In his final press conference before the Super Bowl, Lynch gave a more candid interview while addressing the media’s continued persistence of getting a story out of him and portraying an image of him.
However, he reverted back to his usual stonewalling ways by answering questions by giving shoutouts to his teammates, Oakland and “real Africans.”
He proceeded to leave after his cell phone went off. SportsCenter provided the full video of Lynch’s final press conference on Twitter.
