Rossoneri continue trend of last gasp comebacks.
AC Milan salvaged a point from their trip to Bologna on Wednesday, with late goals from Robinho and Ignazio Abate rescuing a 3-3 draw.
The Rossoneri went ahead through Andrea Poli’s second goal of the season, but their leaky defence was exposed thereafter as they fell 3-1 behind.
Much of the criticism of Milan has been directed at their defence over the past year or so, and the central pairing of Philippe Mexes and Cristian Zapata continue to fail to provide a solid foundation for coach Massimiliano Allegri.
Nevertheless, with injuries and suspension still robbing the Serie A giants of their most important individuals, they were able to show great determination to rescue a point.
Robinho reduced the deficit with just a minute of normal time remaining, before Abate struck just minutes later to ensure they avoided another early season defeat.
With captain Riccardo Montolivo and Stephan El Shaarawy expected back for the clash with Sampdoria this weekend, Allegri will hope their fortunes improve.
