Giallorossi continued their incredible winning streak.
Roma secured a 3-0 win over Inter Milan at the San Siro on Saturday night, making it seven wins in seven to start the Serie A season.
Three first-half goals ensured the visitors picked up all three points on their visit to Milan, with Francesco Totti scoring the opener with a wonderful drive from outside the box.
The Giallorossi captain then doubled the lead with a penalty after Gervinho was felled in the box, before Totti was again involved in a stunning counter-attack which led to Alessandro Florenzi adding a third.
Rudi Garcia has now masterminded seven wins in his first seven competitive games in charge, while opposite number Walter Mazzarri suffered his first defeat of the season.
Nevertheless, it was Roma’s night on Saturday as they continue to establish themselves as genuine Scudetto contenders, and with no European football to distract them they will return after the international break looking to extend their impressive run.
Garcia was one of several individuals who lauded Totti after the game, claiming that the club captain was “one of the best players in the history of football” in his post-game interview according to Football Italia.
Meanwhile, Totti believe that his side can now compete with anyone, but insists that the objective this season remains to return to the Champions League, with the Scudetto a possibility if they can maintain something close to their current form.
