Australian stand-in captain Shane Watson thinks the wicket was partly to blame for his side’s 4-0 whitewash in India.
Australia lost the fourth and final Test to India in Delhi by six wickets resulting in their first four-match series whitewash in over 32 years.
Shane Watson, who stood in as captain in the final Test as a back injury ruled Michael Clarke out, thinks that the sub-continental conditions played a big part however.
He described the wicket in India as very “foreign” and believes that the Australians’ inability to react to the different conditions was somewhat to blame for their defeat.
