Brook ready for step up in quality and is confident he will deliver…
Kell Brook has insisted that he will be bringing the IBF welterweight title home after his bout with Shawn Porter in California on Saturday night.
With just two days to go until the 28-year-old steps into the ring, experts and fans continue to have their say over whether or not he is capable of defeating Porter.
However, Brook is in no doubt that he will deliver on Saturday and isn’t taking much notice of the detractors who suggest that he hasn’t faced anyone of this quality previously and that could ultimately be his downfall.
With previous fights against Devon Alexander falling through, the Sheffield-born fighter has had to wait for his opportunity at a world title, and after looking supremely confident all week since touching down in the US, he isn’t about to let his chance pass him by.
Although various boxers from both the UK and across the pond have this down as a 50/50 fight, many believe that the start of the bout will be key as Brook must avoid falling into Porter’s traps and feeling the full force of his power.
