The first half saw a cagey England performance, though you wouldn’t have thought it looking at some of the tackling, including a huge hit by Courtney Lawes. The home side managed to get it together towards the end, after conceding two French tries, going in 24-15 up, needing to extend their winning margin significantly to take the title.
A topsy-turvy second half saw tries for both sides within minutes of each other.
Just as England seemed to get a foothold in the game, James Haskell was sent to the sin bin for a blatant trip which allowed France to take advantage of the extra man.
Though, the pendulum soon swung the other way, and back again.
With five minutes to go, England managed to force their way over to make it 55-35, needing another six points for the title, but they couldn’t manage it and the Six Nations goes to Ireland.
