SMU is hosting a game against Texas A&M, and they are losing badly, 48-3. Despite the lopsided score, this game wasn’t without a highlight for the Mustangs.
Mustangs wide receiver Der’rikk Thompson was going for a long pass that may have turned into a touchdown, but the pass was incomplete.
Thompson was unable to slow down his momentum right away, and he ran in the direction of Aggies mascot, Reveille VIII. Luckily for the dog, a Texas A&M cadet stepped in and steered the wide receiver away.
