The German doesn’t want his side to go to Brazil as ‘tourists’.
Socceroos head coach Holger Osieck says reaching the second round is the minimum requirement for his side at the 2014 World Cup.
Osieck is keen to match the feats of the Australia team that reached the knock-out stage in the 2006 tournament in Germany and doesn’t want his players to over to Brazil as just ‘tourists’.
The 64-year-old German also delved into the reasons as to why the Socceroos struggled in the qualifying phase, laying a portion of the blame onto the shoulders of Japan.
