Portuguese manager says race for UEFA Champions League will go down to the wire.
Tottenham Hotspur head coach Andre Villas-Boas claimed that Saturday’s 2-2 draw at relegation-threatened Wigan Athletic was the right result.
The North London club, who are chasing entry into next season’s UEFA Champions League by finishing in the top four of the Premier League this campaign, still needed a last-minute own goal from Latics defender Emmerson Boyce to return to London with a share of the spoils.
However, if results go against Spurs on Sunday, they could find themselves even further behind rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in the race for Europe’s premier club competition.
