Eriksen initially received possession from a crisp Erik Lamela pass, but he was tacked by Kara Mbodji.
After Kara made the tackle, the ball hit Leander Dendoncker in the face, before rebounding back into the path of Eriksen, who finished clinically.
Four of Eriksen’s 25 Tottenham goals have now come in Europe. His others came against Tromso, Dnipro and Benfica during his debut season at White Hart Lane.
Spurs left chief striker Harry Kane on the bench for tonight’s match. Clinton N’Jie, making his first Spurs start, is leading the line, with Eriksen, Lamela and Townsend supporting.
