Music fans won’t have failed to notice that legendary soul singer Ben E. King passed away on Friday at the age of 76.

The Harlem native enjoyed a stellar career since breaking into the R&B scene in the 1950s, laying some solid groundwork for other brilliant artists to follow in his wake, and he is, of course, best known for his mega hit Stand By Me.
The popular tune is also a frequently used initiation song for new recruits making their way into a team for the first time.
And to honour the great mans life, several members of the Tottenham Hotspur under 21 side, including England internationals Andros Townsend and Harry Kane, got together to perform their own rendition of the song after training.
Ryan Mason also showed up to help on backing vocals, rounding off a fitting tribute to a man that crafted one of the most recognisable songs in the world.
