Statues of two Australian F1 legends to be revealed.
When the 2013 Formula One 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix kicks off on the weekend the bronze statues of two Australian legends will be revealed.
Bronze busts of racing legends Sir Jack Brabham and Alan Jones will be unveiled in a special ceremony at the Albert Park circuit at 2 pm on race day.
Brabham was the first Australian to win the Grand Prix in 1959, 1960 and 1966, while Jones is the only other man from Down Under to win the title in 1980.
Well-known Melbourne artist Barbara McLean, was commissioned by the Australian Grand Prix Corporation and Confederation of Australian Motor Sport for the statues.
The statues will commemorate the sixty year anniversary since the Australian Grand Prix was first staged at Albert Park.
