Novak puts on a show to guide the Knicks to win over Utah.
With Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire ruled out through injury, the New York Knicks needed a big show from the rest of their roster.
While J.R. Smith proves to be a consistent source of points, Steve Novak stepped up on Saturday night to deliver a 20-point game in the 113-84 win over the Utah Jazz.
Known for his proficiency from three-point range, not only did he drain threes from beyond the arc, but the 29-year-old dribbled his way to the basket for the lay-up on a handful of occasions.
Considering the slump he was in prior to this game, Novak will be delighted with his performance as the Knicks continue to find a way without their star man Anthony.
Despite coach Mike Woodson requiring the services of the All-Star in order to maintain their second spot in the Eastern Conference, it appears Novak is ready to step-up when required to light up the Garden!
