England fast bowler Stuart Broad was sent to hospital for precautionary X-rays on his foot after he was struck by a Mitchell Johnson thunderbolt while batting.
Broad was struck in front be the delivery and given out LBW, as the ball crashed into his foot and ankle areas, and looked a chance of taking the field in Australia’s second innings, but a fitness confirmed he would not be able to bowl, perhaps for the rest of the game.
