Tom Moody believes that the best skippers know when they’re not playing well enough and step aside.
Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Tom Moody has praised IPL captains who stand down from the starting XI.
Hyderabad skipper Kumar Sangakkara has dropped himself for a number of matches in the 2013 season and there has been a similar story at Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab, with Australians Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist doing the same.
Moody believes that really good leaders know when they’re not playing well enough and even though it might be hard will put the team first by dropping themselves.
