Clay Buchholz pitches seven perfect innings as Red Sox breeze past Rays.
The Boston Red Sox strode to a comfortable 5-0 home win over the Tampa Bay Rays thanks to a superb performance from pitcher Clay Buchholz.
The 28-year old struck out 11 Ray batters as he set the foundations for the Red Sox batting offence to do their job with little pressure.
The Red Sox were not considered challengers in the American League East this season, however their very impressive start to the season has surprised many, and will be hoping this form continues for as long as possible.
