Paralympian has requested bail following murder of his girlfriend.
Oscar Pistorius is awaiting the outcome of his bail hearing in a court in the South African capital of Pretoria.
Day two of Oscar Pistorius’ bail hearing at the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court, which was once again packed with the world’s media.
Charged with the premeditated murder of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, a detective testified that Oscar Pistorius was a flight risk and shouldn’t be granted bail.
Hilton Botha also said in the bail hearing that Pistorius illegally possessed .38-calibre ammunition in a safe in his bedroom.
Mr Botha said police found two boxes of the male sex hormone testosterone and needles in Mr Pistorius’ bedroom.
However Pistorius’ defence lawyer claims the hormone is actually a legal herbal remedy used by athletes.
The defence accused Mr Botha of putting the “worst possible interpretation” on the evidence.
The court was then shown a map of Pistorius’ house where the incident took place, before the session broke for lunch.
