Australia captain Michael Clarke made history in the first Test against India by becoming only the tenth Australian to score 7000 runs or more.
10. Michael Clarke – 90 Tests (7092*, average 52.65)
The newest edition to the 7000 run list with his 103 not-out on the first day of the Chennai Test against India. Clarke is also the only player on the list still in the international game so has every opportunity to climb further. Since his 151 on his début against India in 2004, Clarke has been a great servant to Australian sport. He has scored more runs than any other player in the last two years of Test cricket and averaged over 100 runs in 2012.
