Catalans have struggled during manager’s enforced absence.
Runaway La Lia leaders FC Barcelona have been boosted by the welcome news that head coach Tito Vilanova has returned to Spain following treatment in New York for throat cancer.
The 44-year-old, who succeeded Pep Guardiola at Camp Nou at the beginning of this season, was forced to temporarily leave his post late last year, before undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy in the US in January.
However, it is still not certain when Vilanova will be strong enough to return to coaching the first team.
