9. Troy Polamalu’s interception, 2008
Perhaps we are breaking the rules here by including an interception from a Strong Safety as opposed to including an amazing offensive play, but if you have never had the privilege of seeing Steelers Safety Troy Polamalu play when he was younger and arguably the most dominating defensive force in the NFL, you missed one of the great playmakers of this generation.
On this play, the Steelers managed to jar the ball loose from a Chargers receiver and floats backwards away from any other Steelers defender. But Polamalu closed the gap instantaneously and fully extended towards the ground, somehow managing to cradle the ball with only his hand and his wrist to prevent the incompletion and turn it into an epic interception.
