Check out the top 10 plays on the final night of the NBA regular season.
It was the final night of the NBA regular season on Wednesday, and the drama didn’t quite live up to expectations as the Los Angeles Lakers secured their path into the play-offs.
With Utah Jazz losing prior to tip-off at the Staples Center, the Lakers knew that their post season was secure. However, they added the icing on the cake by defeating the Houston Rockets in overtime to snatch the seventh seed in the Western Conference.
Despite many of the league’s stars being rested or seeing reduced minutes, there were still plenty of notable plays on Wednesday.
Commentator Stacey King undoubtedly enjoyed Chicago Bulls veteran Nazr Mohammed rolling back the years with his spin and dunk, while there were big slams and creative passes galore.
Stephen Curry made history as he took his three-pointer tally to 272 for the season in the Golden State Warriors’ win over the Portland Trail Blazers, as he surpassed Ray Allen’s previous record.
However, Chandler Parsons takes top spot after he drilled a deep three-pointer in LA to take the game to overtime. Despite the Rockets eventually coming out with a loss, it was a huge shot to beat the buzzer and tie the scores.
