Matt Prior – England v West Indies, 2007, 105 balls:
Since his debut in 2007 wicketkeeper-batsman Matt Prior has gone on to become arguably the best player in that position in world cricket.
With an average of 43.72 from 64 Test matches Prior has not looked back since making a century on his debut at Lord’s. The ‘keeper scored an unbeaten 126 in his first innings in Test cricket in a match England went on to draw.
Prior’s best total to date is 131 not-out, but the consistency shown by the middle-order batsman has prompted comparisons with some of the great wicketkeeper-batsman of recent times.
