Dwayne Smith – West Indies v South Africa, 2004, 93 balls:
West Indian Dwayne Smith’s two year Test career started with a battling performance to earn his side a draw against South Africa.
After failing to make much of an impact in the first innings with a score of 20, Smith was joined by three partners at the crease in the second as his unbeaten 105 helped draw the Test in Cape Town.
The batsman became the first man in Test history to score a century in under 100 balls on debut, but unfortunately for Smith he never bettered that score and only played nine more Test matches for his country.
