Andy Carroll
A controversial choice, admittedly, but Liverpool / West Ham United forward Andy Carroll could be one of the best attacking headers of the ball in the world.
Based on his preposterous leap and mega-nod for England against Sweden at UEFA Euro 2012, he ought to be up there though, and it is easy to forget his brilliant form for Newcastle United in the first half of the 2010-11 season.
That particular header against Sweden though was astonishing – a bizarre hybrid of the leap of a salmon, the neck muscles of an ostrich and the pony tail of a pony.
Perhaps he will one day live up to his potential.
