4. Who will top the Western Conference?
Last month, this question wouldn’t have been an issue as the San Antonio Spurs continued to set the pace across the entire league.
Gregg Popovich’s men still have the most wins this season in their 48-15 record, but have lost star point guard Tony Parker for the next month.
Having enjoyed one of the most productive periods in his career, the injury suffered by the Frenchman undoubtedly came as a blow to the Spurs, who have had a slight stumble and will hope for his return for the play-offs.
Still leading the way in the West, the Spurs have won seven of their last 10 but the Oklahoma City Thunder are hot on their tails and will be pushing them for top spot.
The Clippers are a little further back, thus leaving Kevin Durant and Co. as the main threat. Based on current form and a predictable late surge, the Thunder will arguably steal No.1 seeding in the West come the end of the regular season.
