Michel Vorm has gone from being one of the highest-rated goalkeepers in the Premier League at Swansea City to a certified benchwarmer at Tottenham Hotspur. But he doesn’t seem to have lost a step.
While doing a plug for Spurs TV, the Dutchman showed cat-like reflexes to take an incredible one-handed catch, after teammate Jan Vertonghen had blasted the ball towards him from close quarters.

Vorm has had few opportunities to show such talent on the pitch for Tottenham since arriving from Wales in 2014. He has made just four Premier League starts and a further 11 in cup competitions.
His chances this season have been even more limited. He has made just two appearances as cover for Hugo Lloris, who has been given the nod by Mauricio Pochettino for all of Spurs’s Europa League games.
Vorm may have joined under the impression that Lloris would leave White Hart Lane the following summer. The France captain was heavily linked with Manchester United, as the Daily Mail reports.
The 32-year-old has not moaned at playing understudy to Lloris, but may soon get frustrated at his lack of action and arguably owes it to himself to find more regular football at this stage of his career.
Although no club has yet to register their interest, the likes of Norwich City or Bournemouth would likely jump at the chance to sign Vorm in January if their current keepers continue to make costly mistakes.
