Gunners’ French coach issues bold rallying cry.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been speaking ahead of the club’s north London derby at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
“It’s a derby and a very intense game, as usual,” Wenger said in his pre-match press conference.
“So, I think it’s always very tight, it’s always a big fight, but if you look at our record, it’s very good in the last fifteen, sixteen years, so of course you want to continue to maintain that record.”
“It’s a very important game, because it’s in the final part of the championship and the outcome will give a big boost to the team that wins it of course.
“Well, in the last 12 games we won nine, drew one and lost two, so we made 28 points out of 36 and so our record in the Premier League is quite good, so what you want to do in the last ten games – I said that after the Chelsea game, we cannot drop points, you know?
“And we go just in every single game like it is a ‘must win’ game and we will have exactly the same approach (against Tottenham).”
