With the Roosters coasting with an early 12-0 lead, Ferguson added Easts’ third try.
The ball swung right and isolated one-on-one, Ferguson was too big and too strong to be stopped from short range. With his mixture of strength and speed, the centre strolled over.
It was a score he would have enjoyed after he was kicked out of the Raiders.
18-0 down after just 28 minutes, the Raiders are reeling. They’ve had no answers as the Roosters stream forward and score at will.
Canberra will need a huge turnaround in the second half to have any chance. They suffered a heart-breaking defeat last weekend against St George Illawarra and seem set for another loss.
