St George Illawarra were cruising at 10-0 in front. Manly was struggling.
But then Wiliame pounced on a grubber that he had no right to get to. In the side as a replacement for the inured Steve Matai, he made no mistake when given the opportunity.
The former Parramatta Eel used his speed to get to the ball just before it went dead. It went upstairs and the video referee confirmed it was a try.
With 25 minutes to go Manly now has a chance to go on and win this game, a low-scoring grinding affair. Daly-Cherry Evans missed the conversion but now they are just six points behind.
