It was just what the Raiders needed two minutes before half-time. Cornish saw an opening in the Roosters defence and dinked a ball through the line.
Croker read it perfectly and ran through to regather the ball and score. Croker then added the extras to take the score to 18-6 at half-time.
This try has given Canberra some hope as they try to reel in the Sydney Roosters. The Raiders had a poor start to the game and have been chasing their tails for most of the match.
But touching down just before or just after half-time is the perfect time to score. If they can build on that opportunity then they can put some pressure back on the Roosters.
