Penn State received their first loss of the season as they were beaten badly by Northwestern, 29-6. Insult was added to injury as the Nittany Lions attempted a 4th-and-1 conversion.
On the play, two of their offensive lineman ended up blocking each other, and the Nittany Lions were rendered unable to convert on the play.
They were down 23-6 at the time in the fourth quarter, so this effectively ruined any chance they had of getting back into the game.
This loss will make Penn State unable to rise into the rankings for a while.
Here is a video of this ridiculous failure from the official ESPN CollegeFootball account.
