Antonio Di Natale’s sensational brace scored Udinese a great victory in Serie A against Chievo Verona.
Veteran attacker Antonio Di Natale again proved the saviour for Udinese as they overcame Chievo Verona in Serie A at Stadio Friuli.
The 35 year-old’s brace featured both the sublime and the ridiculous, and it was the ridiculous that opened the scoring.
Chievo goalkeeper Christian Puggioni needlessly dwelled on the ball for what seemed like hours as Di Natale closed him down, and the Italy international striker was able to tackle him and tap into the net.
Udinese’s and Di Natale’s second was truly sublime.
Roberto Pereyra played the ball over the top to the left side of the area, and despite the narrow angle, Di Natale showed tremendous technique to volley first time into the far corner.
Paul Papp scored a header for Chievo as the Flying Donkeys attempted to get back into the game, but Mehdi Benatia scored from close range for Udinese late on as the home side sealed all three points.
