UEFA President Michel Platini discusses issues including match fixing with Jose Manuel Barroso in Brussels.
Uefa president Michel Platini has been meeting the president of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, in Brussels to discuss a whole raft of issues that are currently affecting the game on the continent.
The pair met in the Belgian capital on Monday, and on their agenda were topics such as the 2020 European championship finals – to be hosted across 13 separate nations in Europe for the first time ever – as well as the thorny issue of third-party ownership of players and how best to combat the ever-growing problem of match fixing in the game.
