UFC president Dana White had to separate the two combatants as a raucous Dublin crowd cheered on their hero, who announced himself as the “king of Dublin” after snatching the belt from the Brazilian.
Aldo tried to charge at McGregor before security charged in and ended things before it got extremely nasty.
The media conference was part of the UFC 189 world tour, with the fight set to take place on July 11 in Las Vegas.
When things eventually settled down, McGregor confidently predicted he’d win the fight in “one”, with the brash fighter clearly believing he has what it takes to topple the Brazilian and claim the belt for real.
