Insults fly ahead of light heavyweight title fight between The Ultimate fighter coaches.
The war of words has raged for months, but soon the only talking will be in the form of fists, knees and elbows.
Light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will defend his title against Sonnen at UFC 159 at Newark, New Jersey, capping off months of talk between the two.
The rivalry harks back to when Sonnen put his hand up to fight Jones on just eight days notice when Dan Henderson injured his knee before UFC 151.
Jones said he would not fight anybody on such short timeframe and refused to face the Sonnen, resulting in the UFC doing the unprecedented and cancelling the entire card.
Since then Sonnen has accused Jones of running scared, however, the fateful bout was set when the two were cast as coaches for the latest series of The Ultimate Fighter.
While some might argue Sonnen is known for his mouth as much as his skills in the Octogon, he has shown a different side of himself on the reality show.
Serious about his training and his students, Sonnen has also admitted he has softened his stance towards Jones given his attitude towards the sport also.
But since the show has wrapped the barbs have again come out with Sonnen starting a countdown on his Twitter account to April 27.
