Barkley does not want to compare himself to last years Quarterback class and that he is looking forward to talking to teams this week.
Despite not throwing this week due to a nagging shoulder injury, Matt Barkley was available to talk to the media to give his thoughts on a number of topics.
Last season, Barkley would have been a top 10 pick had he declared for the draft. However an inconsistent senior season has left scouts wondering how far this prospect can progress in the NFL.
He said that he believes he can be the best in the draft class as well as making it clear he has no regrets about staying on an extra year at college.
He also spoke of comparisons made to Matt Leinart and Mark Sanchez, both USC QB’s, who have have struggled since joining the NFL. However, the 22 year old said that he is different to both of those players and that he should be judged on his play alone.
