2013 draft prospect believes there was nothing extra to demonstrate to scouts at pro day.
USC Trojans Quarterback Matt Barkley told reporters after his pro day that he had nothing left to prove to scouts, and everything was on his game tape.
31 of the 32 teams were in attendance to see the 22 year-old display his skills, as he completed 56 of 62 passes and demonstrated that he had fully recovered from his throwing shoulder injury.
Six in-completions out of 62 may seem impressive, but when there is no defence in front of you, and you know the exact routes the receivers are running, questions will be raised about his accuracy, coupled with his already questionable arm strength.
If a team was to draft Barkley inside the top 10, it would probably be considered a reach. However it would not be a surprise if a QB-needy team such as Arizona or Buffalo traded back into the first round late on in order to guarantee a chance at signing the intriguing prospect.
