Play-off dream over for the Predators following latest loss.
The Nashville Predators saw their play-off hopes ended on Monday night, following their 5-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks.
Ryan Kesler has missed 31 games this season through injury, however he came up with the big shots for the Canucks as he ended the game with two goals, making it three goals and three assists in four games since returning from a broken foot.
In contrast, the loss was the seventh straight for the Predators, a franchise record set more than 13 years ago. It rounds up a disappointing campaign for Nashville, who have qualified for the play-offs in seven of the last eight seasons.
Roberto Luongo also contributed to their downfall on Monday night, after the goaltender made 36 saves to limit them to just two goals. The Canucks remain in third place in the Western Conference.
