Vancouver Whitecaps and New England Revolution played out an incredible Major League Soccer match featuring seven goals.
Vancouver Whitecaps defeated New England Revolution in a thrilling MLS encounter at BC Place.
The turning point of the match was quite clearly a red card issued to Andrew Farrell of the Revolution after 23 minutes.
Prior to that, the away side had taken a two goal lead and looked well on course to cruise to victory.
Juan Agudelo and Kelyn Rowe opened the scoring for New England Revolution, before Farrell gave away a harsh penalty – and to rub salt into the wound, he was given his marching orders.
From there, the Whitecaps mounted their comeback.
Camilo Da Silva Sanvezzo scored the resultant spot kick before Jordan Harvey and Kenny Miller (2) completed an impressive turnaround, with Dimitry Imbongo Boele’s late goal for New England Revolution proving little more than a consolation.
